Lightly hazy with moderate head retention, smells of apricot, pine, and tangerine. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted rye and black pepper above subtler hints of apple and citrus on a smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately high in bitterness, featuring notes of pine, grapefruit zest, and herbal hops. Overall, it’s nice well rounded pale with a variety of flavors. It’s not quite as soft and doughy as “juicy” NEIPAs I’ve had, but the fruity flavors are there. It reminds me of a Trillium take on Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
