I review the beers I drink

Surly – Controlled Chaos

Clear with light head retention, smells of grapefruit, pine, and roasted malt. The taste is crisp and bready up front with flavors of toasted biscuits, orange, grapefruit, and lime on a medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of orange zest, grapefruit peels, pine resin and herbal hops. Overall, it’s an assertive, well balanced IPA with a strong malty base and a citrusy West Coast hop profile.
