Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Stone – 26th Anniversary IPA

Lightly hazy with light head retention, smells of herbal hops, pine, and grapefruit. The taste is crisp and resinous with notes of toasted bread, grapefruit juice, pine sap, overripe guava, and caramel on a smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of grapefruit zest, pine needles, lime peels, melon rind, herbal hops and a hint of garlic. Overall, it’s very West Coast hoppy and piney and bitter, but the malts are there to balance it out and it’s actually not a bad beer. Ruination 1.0 was better but this is one of the better ones in this pack and very enjoyable.
