I review the beers I drink

St. George & Fever Tree – “Dry Rye & Tonic”

Smells of spicy rye, piney juniper, and a hint of citrus. The taste is very intense, very malty and peppery, even tastes barrel aged but the clear color disproves this. The finish is low in bitterness but very powerful and lingering, notes of grain and wood mixed with juniper and citrus pith. Overall, this is a very odd gin, tastes more like a whisky than a gin. I could see this being a good starting point for whisky drinkers, but it’s bit too powerful for my tastes.
