I review the beers I drink

St. George & Fever Tree – “California Citrus Vodka & Aromatic Tonic”

Smells of oranges, both juice and essential oils, with a subtle spiciness in the background. The taste is rich and oily and crisp with a lighter floral note underneath and just a hint of cardamom. The finish is long but mellow, low in bitterness but lots of residual citrus bitterness and a light astringency reminiscent of black tea. Overall, this combo works very well together, highlighting each other’s unique characteristics and is surprisingly dry; in some ways it tastes like an Old Fashioned.
