I review the beers I drink

St. George & Fever Tree – “Botanivore & Tonic”

Smells of citrus and herbs; juniper is very low in the mix. The taste is herbal and vegetal and crisp and fruity all at the same time, a very wide variety of botanicals are discernable, yet it is difficult to pick out each individually. The finish is lasting yet very smooth and low to moderate in bitterness, with notes of citrus peel, juniper and dill coming to mind. Overall, this is an extremely complex gin that works more as a symphony of it’s parts than a parade, a pastiche of classic and modern styles of gin.
