St. George & Fever Tree – “All Purpose Vodka & Elderflower Tonic”

When I grabbed the St. George gin sampler, the vodka sampler was right next to it, so I had to get both. Decided to try out some other Fever Tree products as well.

Smells of soft pear and elderflower, but it’s extremely subtle. The taste is sweet and delicate, with flavors of pear and elderflower, just as the nose, but more noticeable. The finish is very mild and low in bitterness, with notes of ripe fruit, vanilla, and soft herbs. Overall, it’s a vodka, so it’s less aromatic and flavorful than a gin, but still very well balanced and smooth bodied; the tonic is very floral, but it balances very well with the alcohol and doesn’t overpower.
