Lightly hazy with fantastic head retention, smells of sourdough, Belgian yeast, and floral hops. The taste is crisp and bready, with flavors of toasted sourdough, banana bread, honey, peppery grains, and a hint of citrus on a smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of pine, grapefruit, apricot, herbal hops, and a hint of residual yeasty funk. Overall, it’s a fairly good IPA, well balanced and assertively, though a bit monotonously, hopped; it just doesn’t really feel like a West Coast IPA to me.
