Sierra Nevada – Oktoberfest Festbier 2025

A collaboration with Störtebeker Braumanufaktur, this beer is not a Märzen style, as is most commonly labeled “Oktoberfest” here in the States, but a lighter lager style called a Festbier.

Clear with great head retention, smells of sourdough, caramel, and toasted bread. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted sourdough, honeyed oats, Chinese almond cookies, and caramel on a soft and smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of roasted almond, herbal hops, salted caramel, and orange peel. Overall this is a surprisingly complex beer for an unassuming style, very smooth and crushable yet deeply rewarding on the palate as well.

Canned on: 8/6/25
