I really liked the spruce beers I’ve had before (like Evergreen Blaze) so I’m excited for this. Clear with decent head retention, smells like a malty, but clean pilsner, perhaps a hint of pine, but very subtle. The taste is crisp and bready, lots of toasty caramel and grain flavors, but no pine; body is light and effervescent. The finish is clean and low in bitterness with just a hint of herbal hops mixed with the malts before it fades away. Overall, it a very good pilsner, effortlessly sessionable, but where the hell is the spruce? Major failure in the naming of this one.
