Not sure what the difference is between this and last year’s 20 Pounds of Pumpkin, label art and ABV are the same, only 2 less IBUs…
Clear with decent head retention, smells of pumpkin pie all the way, actual pumpkin and spices. The taste is semi-sweet with lots of lightly sweet pumpkin notes, but matched with lots of peppery spices and a full creamy body. The finish is mellow and low in bitterness, with notes of light herbal hops mixed with residual spicy and sweet flavors. Overall, it’s a great pumpkin ale, all the elements are there and easy to spot, just not sure why Sam has multiple pumpkin ale offerings.
