Moderately hazy with excellent head retention, smells of very, very, extremely subtle hops, I’m not even sure which character they have; there’s virtually no aroma here. The taste is crisp and bready malts, some toasted bread and subtle caramel notes with a medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, with a very nice spicy and herbal hop flavor that slowly fades into a warming sensation upon the tongue. Overall, I don’t know where the aroma is on this one, but everything else is great. This is a beer that uses its hops masterfully and reminds me why I finally got into hoppy beer in the first place.
