I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Cold Brew Coffee Stout

Flashlight shows as just a small, deep, dark ruby dot through the glass, smells of black coffee, steamed milk, and a touch of smoke. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of charred biscuits, coffee, chocolate, and subtle vanilla cream on a silky smooth medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of dark chocolate, coffee, smoked malts, and herbal hops. Overall, this is a solid coffee stout, with the coffee being detectable in all facets of the beer and adding pleasant complexity throughout.
