Moderately hazy with excellent head retention, smells of roast coffee and dark chocolates; very appealing. The taste is very crisp and bready, thick and creamy mouthfeel to match, layered with dense flavors of coffee and subtly sweet chocolate. The finish is fairly clear with a low to moderate bitterness; subtle herbal hops mingle with residual chocolate and coffee flavors. Overall, this is a very good beer, honestly tastes more like a brown ale or even a black lager than a pale ale, but I like it.
