Clear with excellent head retention, smells of toast, caramel, and doughy malts. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted biscuits, caramel, honey, and white pepper on a medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of herbal, grassy, spicy, and floral Noble Hops and a hint of pine. Overall, it’s a solid, well balanced and drinkable beer as always, but the new tweaks make it feel bolder and each flavor is more pronounced, however this sacrifices the perfect balance of the original and while not a drastic change by any means, it does feel like a step back rather than a step forward.
