I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Blackberry Witbier

Moderately hazy with minimal head retention, smells of blackberry jam, elderberry wine, and grape juice. The taste is crisp and lightly fruity with flavors of blackberry, sourdough, wheat crackers, and wildflower honey on a fluffy soft full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of blackberry skins, grappa, herbal hops, orange peel, and a touch of coriander. Overall, this is a nice berry forward wit, leaning towards oenobier with the tannins in the finish. Surprisingly complex.
