The Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout, in the Spiegelau Barrel Aged Glass, designed by Great Divide, Uinta, Green Flash, and Cigar City Brewing Company. I decided I wanted a Rogue glass instead so I got their barrel aged beer. Smells of whiskey-ish booziness. Some subtle smoky and coffee tones mixed in. Taste is a punch in the face of flavor! Oak and chocolate and roasted malts and bitter coffee all with a gentle alcohol warming sensation and a surprisingly bubbly mouth feel. Finish is warmth and bittersweet dark chocolate.
