I review the beers I drink

Rhinegeist – Franz

While passing through Ohio, I just couldn’t pass up a “Spirit of the Rhine” märzen! Clear with solid head retention, smells of caramel, toasted dinner rolls, and Noble hops. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted sourdough, caramel, honey, and a hint of apple on a slick medium body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of herbal hops, smoke, burnt caramel, and a hint of lemon zest. Overall, this is a very good märzen definitely lives up to the Rhinegeist name! A perfect mix of clean and roasted malts and old world hops, prost!
