Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Red Hook – Big Ballard

Lightly hazy with light head retention, smells of wet dog food, grapefruit, and pine. The taste is dense and rich with flavors of toasted biscuits, grapefruit juice, and raisins on a full body. The finish is long and high in bitterness, featuring notes of pine resin, sherry, grapefruit peels, and herbal hops. Overall, it’s ok; the aroma is slightly off, the taste is slightly off, and the bitterness is abrasive and somewhat one-dimensional. Not a drain pour, but also not something I’d ever buy again.
