I review the beers I drink

Paulaner – Salvator

Paulaner Salvator

Just the slightest hint of haze with light head retention, smells like cinnamon raisin bread. The taste is rich and bold with flavors of charred bread, burnt caramel, milk chocolate, pumpkin spice, and toasted sesame on a slick, full body. The finish is long and moderate to high in bitterness, featuring notes of black tea, pine sap, dark chocolate, bitter orange, almond, and herbal hops. Overall, it’s literally the original doppelbock, you can’t get any more authentic. It’s a bold, richly flavorful, yet refined and balanced “bread in a glass” that’ll fill you up and put you to sleep.
