Moderately hazy with minimal head retention, smells of lime, grapefruit, and white grapes. The taste is lightly sweet and fruity with flavors of cantaloupe, apricot, plum, and peppery wheat on a medium body. The finish is long and low to moderate in bitterness, featuring notes of orange peel, grapefruit, floral hops, and oaked chardonnay. Overall, the Phantasm powder adds a very interesting profile here, apparently the idea is to add thiols which are supposed to add tropical flavors, but it also adds wine flavors in my experience, and actually is a product derived from wine must. That is not to say that it is bad at all, it’s a very unique experience that I would definitely like to try in other beers.
