Gotta love that artwork! A reference to collaborators Brasserie d’Achouffe, who claim the recipes for their beers come from The Chouffe, a group of small, beer-loving gnomes.
Very hazy, with small bits of yeast throughout. Smells fruity and lightly spicy from the yeast, no spices were used in this beer; light hops and malts accentuate the aroma. Tastes fruity and lightly sweet from the malts and yeast, with a huge background of banana and clove and a light peppery-ness; alcohol is hidden well. A very full mouthfeel gives way to a dry, warm and spicy finish. Very complex beer, and difficult to explain all the flavors going on here.
