I review the beers I drink

O’Hara’s – Irish Red Nitro

Ever so slightly hazy with strong head retention, smells of hazelnut, caramel, and honeyed oats. The taste is smooth and malty with flavors of toasted biscuits, honey nut Cheerios, caramel, and heavy cream on a heavy, creamy, super smooth full body. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of soft herbal hops and a touch of smoke. Overall, it’s smooth and creamy and roasty and very enjoyable, however I feel the nitro may actually be detracting from the beer here and flattening out the range of flavors and malt sweetness.
