Flashlight is unable to penetrate even the slightest bit, head retention is fantastic, smells of chocolate, coffee, and fig. The taste is crisp and decadent with flavors of dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, cherry, fig, raisin, and caramel on a super smooth and creamy, extra full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of dark chocolate, espresso, grapefruit, pine, and herbal hops. Overall, this is a fantastic stout, very well balanced, and diverse in it’s bitterness, with hops, chocolate, and coffee contributing. Highly recommended.
