I review the beers I drink

Northway Brewing – Avenue of the Pines

Moderately hazy and lightly murky with lots of visible sediment but great head retention, smells of pine, grapefruit, and subtle pineapple. The taste is fruity and lightly tart with flavors of lemon, tangerine, raspberry, and green apple on a base of toasted biscuits, all on a medium body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness and lightly tart, featuring notes of grapefruit, pine, lemon juice, and sour cherry. Overall, it’s an interesting IPA, assertively hopped, but not overly so, and similarly tart. Not sure if I’ve ever had an IPA with this combination of flavors; kinda like a soured west coast IPA.
