I review the beers I drink

Modern Brewing – Citrapolis

Recently took a trip out to St. Louis and picked up some beers to try (and also a few in Ohio where we stopped overnight).

Hazy and lightly murky with solid head retention, smells of lemon zest, lime peel, and floral hops. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted bread and sourdough with a juicy layer of lemondrop candies underneath the soft, full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of lemon zest, grapefruit peel, makrut lime leaves, and herbal hops. Overall, this is a very nice hazy IPA, fruity but balanced well with the malts and with a nice assertive bitterness at the end. Reminds me of a lighter bodied Trillium IPA.

Canned on: 9/8/25
