Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of bready malts, citrusy hops. Taste is a sharp, crisp malt base kiss followed by a strong, but balanced spicy, peppery hop flavor. As the full body fills the mouth, a brief flash of citrus rind is noticed before it all fades into a dry, piney, bitter finish on the back of the tongue. Not bad, more malt than an average IPA, per the amber style, well-balanced, but ultimately, it’s just not that memorable.
