Clear with great head retention, smells of clean lightly toasted malts, and subtle floral hops. The taste is semi-sweet with a dry, crackery flavor up front, with a subtle spiciness from the yeast, matched to a slick, medium body. The finish has loads of light herbal and floral hops flavors, without going overboard; perceived bitterness is low. Overall, I like it a lot. A very simple ale, but the balance and drinkability are spot on, and the yeast does add a little flair to make it stand out.
