I review the beers I drink

Leinenkugel’s – Summer Shandy

This is one of my favorite beers of all time; many a summer’s evening upon a lake in Minnesota have been spent drinking these until the sun goes down.

Hazy with minimal head retention, smells of sweet lemonade and crisp weissbier (fairly obvious, I know). The taste is crisp, notes of wheat and spicy yeast with a subtle lemon flavor throughout and a smooth full body. The finish is very low in bitterness and hops really aren’t a part of the picture; instead you get bitter lemon peel, a light astringency, and ultimately a cleanness reminiscent of lagers. Overall, like I said, I love this beer. It’s not the most complex or even flavorful beer out there, it’s just insanely drinkable and the perfect drink after a hot day in the summer sun.
