I review the beers I drink

Lawson’s – Mad River Maple

Clear with excellent head retention, smells of toasted grains, maple, and a hint of smoke. The taste is crisp and lightly sweet with flavors of toasted biscuits, caramel, honey, and sweet maple syrup on a remarkably soft medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of herbal hops along with subtle smoke and some residual maple sweetness. Overall, this is a fantastic amber, very well balanced, and perhaps my favorite use of maple syrup in a beer yet.
