Clear with light head retention, smells of roasted biscuits, burnt caramel, and brown roux. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of charred wheat biscuits, salted caramel, and Danish butter cookies on a soft and “chewy” full body. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of caramel, toffee, toasted bread, and herbal hops. Overall, this is a great and approachable beer with a luscious malty flavor profile and a clean finish. Currently the #2 Doppelbock in the world on BeerAdvocate!
