I review the beers I drink

Juggernaut – Russian River Pinot Noir 2018

Pours a bright ruby red, smells of leather, forest floor, and a softly spicy herbal character. The taste is very fruity and lightly sweet with flavors of cherry, plum, and fig jam on a light body. The finish is long and lightly acidic, featuring notes of lingonberry, citrus, and a drying grape leaf and leather finale. Overall, this is a very good wine; very fruity, very complex, and yet very drinkable with a low acidity and dryness making this a very approachable single varietal for those who are most accustomed to blended wines. Additionally, the Russian River appellation quite fortuitously hints at my upcoming series of reviews…
