I review the beers I drink

Josephsbrau – Bohemian Lager

The last 2 of my Trader Joe’s beers, presented in my brand new Spiegelau Craft Pils glass (yes, this photo was taken about 2 minutes after the pour as my phone decided not to save the original photo). Crystal clear with a solid cap of foam throughout, smells of grassy hops and clean neutral grains. Taste is crisp and bright, with a very subtle sweetness and a full body. The finish is clean and dry, with herbal and grassy hop flavors bringing a moderate bitterness that lingers just long enough to assert itself, and then fades away. All together, this is a great, well balanced and sessionable lager, and the new glass really does help with head and aroma retention with a notoriously light style.
