I review the beers I drink

HiteJinro – Jinro is Back Soju

Trying something new, soju! I’ve never had this spirit before but I’m excited to try it with some Korean food tonight (budae jjigae)!

Clear, smells of neutral grain alcohol, or maybe a wheat based vodka. The taste is delicate and somewhat watery with flavors of rice, water, and Budweiser beer on a smooth, light body with just a touch of potato vodka richness. The finish is long and low in bitterness and without burn, featuring notes of potato vodka, crisped rice, and mineral water. Overall it’s not bad, it’s just basically a watered down vodka, albeit one made from a variety of grains instead of just one, which does seem to bring the best of all of them to the final product. Geonbae!
