I review the beers I drink

Guinness – Smithwick’s Irish Red Ale

Clear with solid head retention, smells of lightly roasted malts, caramel, and subtle hops. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted wheat bread, Ritz crackers, caramel and a touch of honey on a smooth and creamy medium body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of Irish soda bread, herbal hops, and a hint of smoke. Overall this is a great, well rounded, and drinkable beer, not too flashy but the malt and hop flavors are balanced and refreshing.
