I review the beers I drink

Groennfell Meadery – Old Wayfarer

Very hazy with no head retention, smells of honey, wildflowers, and just a hint of vanilla. The taste is mostly dry, with a crisp mineral character as a backdrop for flavors of apple, pear, and honey on a thick, almost syrupy body. The finish is long and dry with a low bitterness and notes of apple skins, oak, and mineral water. Overall, it’s quite good, reminiscent of a dry apple cider but with extra layers of complexity from the oak and honey.
