I review the beers I drink

Groennfell Meadery – Nordic Farmhouse

Bought a mixed case of these Vermont beer/mead hybrids, interested to see if they’re any good. Hazy with no head retention, smells of cranberry, lactobacillus, and vinegar. Taste is a nice balance of sweet and tart cranberry flavors on a medium body. The finish is short and tart just barely to the point of puckering, bringing forth a wave of palate cleansing salivation leaving just a hint of tart cranberry and wildflower honey. Overall, it’s pretty good; the balance between sweet and tart is perfect and the end result is very drinkable and reminiscent of a lambic.
