I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Fest Bier

Picked up a case of this on sale, and good thing too, as I got a couple more new glasses to show off after the review 🙂

Clear with minimal head retention, smells of caramel and buttery toast; clean lager yeast beneath. Taste is a kiss of sweetness on the tongue before the crisp, peppery malt flavor and full, effervescent body wipes the palate clean, setting the stage for the finish. Dry and mineral in character, the hops are subtle here, a little herbal, a little spicy, low in bitterness, and perfectly balanced to let the malt be the star of this beer. A perfect festbier: bold, full flavors, perfect balance, and a clean finish that begs for more and more sips. Top notch beer.
