I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Christmas IPA

Lightly hazy with light head retention, smells of fresh pine, grapefruit, and herbal hops. The taste is crisp and resinous, with flavors of toasted bread, pine sap, and caramel on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of pine, grapefruit pith, lime peel, a little more pine, and herbal hops. Overall, I get that pine trees and Christmas are essentially synonymous, but this one just feels too one-dimensional. Perhaps a hint of cinnamon or clove or different hops? Evergreen Blaze comes to mind as a better version of this idea.
