Flashlight shows not a damn thing, no head retention, smells of Earl Grey, floral honey, and booze. The taste is sweet with notes of honey, tea, chocolate, caramel, and subtle citrus, and charred oak all on a thick, syrupy, full body. The finish is long and warm with low to moderate bitterness featuring notes of honey, floral and herbal hops, and a hint of bourbon. Overall, WOW! This exceeded all my expectations and then some. So incredibly complex and well balanced and drinkable it’s stupid. Tea stouts are not very common, but they really should be, the flavor combination works really well.
