I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Bourbon County Brand Caramella Ale 2020

Pours a clear chestnut color, no head retention, smells of caramel, booze, and a hint of apple. The taste is crisp and bready at first, then immediately transitions to a sweet apple and cinnamon character, on a slick medium body. The finish is boozy, almost burning, and moderately bitter with notes of apple pie, booze, and spicy hops. Overall, I like idea here, and the cinnamon apple flavor is used well, though the end result is a bit too harsh for me. Perhaps with aging (labelled ages up to 5 years) this one will get better.
