I review the beers I drink

Genesee – Ruby Red Kolsch

Just a hint of haze with minimal head retention, smells of fresh peeled grapefruit. The taste is crisp and bright with flavors of grapefruit juice, saltines, and toasted vanilla on a velvety smooth medium body. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of grapefruit zest, apricot, and grassy hops. Overall this is surprisingly good and by far the best Genny I’ve ever had; it’s full of grapefruit flavors and aromas, but with almost no additional sweetness making it remarkably balanced and refreshing but still more beer than “alco-pop.”
