I review the beers I drink

Founders – Rübæus

Picked up another mixed sixer out of the one dollar cart at my local beer store; hazy, deep pinkish orange color, light head retention. Smells of tart raspberries and with a subtle floral sweetness underneath. Taste is tart but not overly so, with a malt body and light hop flavor to support it. Lightly effervescent mouthfeel and a crisp, ever-so-slightly puckering raspberry finish. I really like this beer, everything is about finesse and a light touch with this beer, and they pull it off well. Honestly, it reminds me more of a traditional Belgian lambic than the sour it’s billed as.
