Just the slightest bit hazy with minimal head retention, smells of grapefruit and hibiscus (duh) along with hints of grassy hops and lager yeast. The taste is crisp and slightly tart, and while the whole experience is watery, that works with this style; notes of grapefruit and clean pilsner malt matched to a slick, thinly carbonated body. The finish is quick and low in bitterness, with notes of grapefruit peel, hibiscus flowers, and neutral carbonic dryness. Overall, it’s a little thin and watery, which makes sense for a beer for cycling, but I do wish there was just a tad more body, otherwise all the flavors are really nicely showcased and the beer is very refreshing.
