I review the beers I drink

Do IPAs Go Bad? Heady Topper Edition(IPA - Imperial / Double New England)

Moderately hazy, disgustingly sedimentated, light head retention, smells of raisins, oatmeal, and wet cardboard. The taste is bland and bitter, with flavors of grapefruit, pine, and okra on a full, but kinda gritty body. The finish is long and moderately high in bitterness, featuring notes of grapefruit, lime peel, pine cones, spent tea leaves, and herbal hops.

Canned on: 9/11/20

Minimal haze and head retention, smells of guava, pine, and lemon. The taste is crisp and richly fruity, with flavors of guava nectar, papaya, grapefruit juice, apricot, and lemon on a full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of pine, grapefruit zest, lime peel, nectarine, and herbal hops.

Canned on: 9/30/21

OVERALL: Why do I keep doing this to myself? This is a beer that stands out because of it’s nuanced complexity; without it the aged can really isn’t even worth trying.
