Lightly hazy with light head retention and FULL of floaters; smells of Honey Nut Cheerios, pine, and kräuterlikör. The taste is stale and bitter with flavors of grapefruit, pine sap, and spinach on an abrasive, overly carbonated body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of pine cones, grapefruit, lime peel, and herbal hops.
Canned on: 9/10/20
Moderately hazy with minimal head retention and no floaters; smells of guava, nectarine, and peach. The taste is crisp and musky with flavors of ripe mango, overripe banana, papaya, peach, and apricot on a smooth, full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, pine, lime peel, and herbal hops.
Canned on: 9/28/21
OVERALL: Again, the old can is flat and very unappealing both visually and to the palate, while the fresh can, though still fairly bitter, also contains a much more nuanced and well rounded flavor and definitely looks more potable.
