Just a hint of haze with excellent head retention, smells of toasted bread, caramel, and chocolate. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted biscuits, salted caramel, and a light smokiness on a full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of herbal hops, charred toast, burnt caramel, and pine. Overall, it’s an interesting middle ground between an IPA and a stout; it’s surprisingly enjoyable.
