I love the bottle, “Whale’s Tale Pale Ale” with a picture of a whale’s tail. Bottle says it’s an English pale ale. Hazy copper colored, smells of mild floral hops and sourdough malt. The taste is big on peppery floral hop bitterness, but balanced by a heavy, toasted bread backbone. Full mouthfeel and a bitter, biscuity finish. Excellent example of the style that delivers on bold hop flavor, but with an equally bold pale malt counterbalance.
