Catastrophic Hard Pear Cider
Another one of these cat ciders my gf picked up in NH, extremely effervescent, but has off-putting black chunks of yeast flying around. Smells of fresh Bartlett pear and acidity. Taste is tart and slightly astringent at first, then the pear flavor grows in intensity until dominance. Mouthfeel is full and the finish is semi-structured like a white wine, with warm fig and pear flavors. Not bad, just looks better in the bottle.
