I review the beers I drink

Campo Viejo – Garnacha 2020

I picked this wine up to make sangria with, but picked up a second bottle to review here, I don’t believe I’ve ever had this style or any Spanish wines before.

Flashlight shows a clear ruby red crimson hue, smells of plum, cherry, and a hint of leather. The taste is fruity and lightly sweet, with flavors of cranberry, plum, cherry, black grape, and rhubarb with a balanced acidity on a light body. The finish is long with light tannins, featuring notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, subtle leather and pipe tobacco, and a touch of baked cinnamon and clove. Overall, I really like this wine, it’s light and fruity but balanced with soft tannins and acidity. Definitely would buy this again, and definitely excited to try it in sangria!
